Scout Portugal was born from a shared moment that so many families experience, but few know how to navigate.
After meeting through their children’s early childhood programs, Jasmine “Jazz” Wolk and Dr. Melanie Correia Esmann-Schroeder quickly realized they were asking the same questions and facing the same challenges.
With a background in corporate media and client relations, Jazz had relocated from the United States in search of a more intentional lifestyle centered around family, community, and quality of life. Melanie, an anesthesiologist with Portuguese roots, was building a life deeply connected to both culture and family while balancing her passion for healthcare, travel, and creating meaningful spaces to call home.
What started as conversations at school pickup evolved into something much greater: a shared mission to simplify the relocation journey for other families seeking a fresh start abroad.
Today, Scout Portugal helps clients confidently transition into life in Portugal through trusted local connections, hands-on guidance, and a deeply personal understanding of what it truly means to start over in a new country.
